Congratulations to three Masterman students on being awarded Golden and Silver Keys from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. Gold Key works automatically advance to national judging. In New York City, renowned creative professionals review Gold Key works from across the country. Jurors select work for national recognition based on three criteria: originality, technical skill, and emergence of a personal vision or voice.

Josie Rosman (11th grade) received a Golden Key for her piece, “Adventures in Babysitting and Friendship,” in the short story category.

Catherine Liu (12th grade) received a Golden Key for her painting, Who’s the Fairest of Them All?.

Shane Cohen-Mungan also received a Silver Key for one of his works.
